Electrolysis is the process of removing unwanted hair permanently by coagulating each targeted hair root. This is done by applying heat through a probe, inserted into the natural opening of the hair follicle to destroy the bottom part of the follicle. This process causes gradual cellular destruction impairing the follicle to produce hair. There is no other way to destroy the vital part of the hair permanently except through electrolysis

A: The hair cell of a dark, coarse hair is too large to completely cauterize or eliminate in one treatment. If we attempt to completely eliminate the hair cell in one treatment, we could possibly damage the outer skin, so we must break down the hair cell in a series of treatments over a period of time.
